This Privacy Policy explains how Bike Dashboard ("Bike Dashboard", "we", "us") handles information when you use the Bike Dashboard mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
Bike Dashboard does not require you to register, log in, or provide a name, email address, or phone number. We do not operate a backend server that stores your personal content. Your rides, routes, offline maps, and settings are stored only on your device and are not uploaded to us or synced across devices.
The following data is created and stored locally on your iPhone. It is used to make the App work and is not transmitted to us:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| GPS location & ride tracks (coordinates, altitude, speed) | To record your ride, show your position on the map, and follow a route while navigating. |
| Motion & barometer readings | To estimate elevation gain during a ride. |
| Apple Health (HealthKit) body weight | Only when you choose to import it, to improve calorie estimates. |
| Saved cycling workouts written to Apple Health (HealthKit) | Only with HealthKit permission, to save distance, duration, active energy, and elevation gain in Apple Health. |
| Routes & imported/exported GPX files | To plan, store, and share routes. |
| Offline map tiles you download | To display maps without a network connection. |
| Preferences (unit system, body weight, themes) | To personalize the App and estimate calories. |
Your location data stays on your device. We never collect, upload, or share your precise location or your ride tracks.
Bike Dashboard estimates calories from your ride metrics and the body weight you enter in the App or import from Apple Health (HealthKit). HealthKit data is not included in analytics or advertising data.
To understand how the App is used and to fix crashes, we use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google). These tools collect:
Analytics events do not include your precise GPS coordinates, your ride tracks, your ride metrics, or any information that identifies you personally.
We use Singular to measure the performance of our marketing — for example, to learn which campaign led you to download the App. The first time it is relevant, iOS will ask whether you allow tracking (the App Tracking Transparency prompt).
Attribution never accesses your ride data, your location, or your activity metrics.
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, and subscription status is managed with RevenueCat. We do not see or store your payment card details. Apple and RevenueCat process the purchase receipt to validate and restore your subscription. See Apple's and RevenueCat's privacy policies for details.
The App relies on the following providers. Each handles data under its own privacy policy:
Map data is based on OpenStreetMap and served from our own map tile host. Browsing maps does not require an account or share your identity.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA). Because we do not maintain accounts, most of your data lives on your device and is within your direct control. For requests relating to data held by our analytics or attribution providers, contact us and we will help.
Data stored on your device is protected by iOS file protection, and any network requests the App makes use encrypted HTTPS connections.
Bike Dashboard is intended for a general audience of cycling enthusiasts and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected in the App.
