Frequently asked questions

How do I record a ride?

Open the Ride tab and tap Start. Bike Dashboard records your route, distance, speed, time, elevation, and estimated calories. You can pause and resume at any time, and recording continues in the background while your screen is off. When you finish, your ride is saved to your activity history.

My location or speed isn't showing. What should I check?

Bike Dashboard needs Location access to record and navigate.

  • Open iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services and make sure it is on.
  • Find Bike Dashboard in the list and set it to While Using the App (or Always, so recording continues in the background), with Precise Location turned on.
  • GPS can take a moment to lock on outdoors, and signal may be weak indoors, in tunnels, or among tall buildings.
Does Bike Dashboard work offline?

Yes. Download an offline map region in advance, and you can view maps, record rides, and follow routes with no cellular or Wi-Fi connection. GPS itself does not require a network.

How do I download offline maps?

Go to the Map tab, choose the area you want, and download it as an offline region. Larger areas and higher detail take more storage. You can manage or delete downloaded regions later to free up space. Offline maps are a Premium feature.

How do I plan a route, or import/export GPX?

In the Routes tab you can plan a route by tapping points on the map, and import or export routes as GPX files to share with other apps or devices. Route planning and GPX import/export are Premium features.

How does navigation work?

Open a route and start navigation to follow the track. Bike Dashboard shows your position, remaining distance, and an estimated time of arrival, and alerts you if you drift off the route. Navigation is a Premium feature.

How are calories and elevation calculated?

Elevation gain is measured using your device's motion sensors and barometer. Calories are estimated from your ride and the body weight you enter in the App or import from Apple Health (HealthKit). These values are estimates and are not medical advice.

Does Bike Dashboard sync fitness data elsewhere?

Bike Dashboard does not run a cloud fitness sync service. With Apple Health (HealthKit) permission, saved rides can be written to Apple Health as cycling workouts, and body weight can be read from Apple Health when you choose to import it.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple Account. Manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions, or in the App Store. If you cancel, Premium stays active until the end of the current billing period.

  • The annual plan may include a free trial that converts to a paid subscription unless canceled at least 24 hours before it ends.
  • A one-time lifetime purchase unlocks Premium permanently.
  • Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
I bought Premium but it isn't showing on this device.

Open Settings › Subscription in Bike Dashboard and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy. Restore also recovers a lifetime purchase on a new device.

How do I request a refund?

All purchases are handled by Apple. Refund requests are managed through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We are unable to process payments or refunds directly.

How is my data and privacy handled?

Bike Dashboard keeps your data on your device. There is no account to create. With Apple Health (HealthKit) permission, saved rides can be added to Apple Health; otherwise your ride tracks and ride metrics stay local to your iPhone. See our Privacy Policy for details. To delete all of your data, simply uninstall the app.

Background recording stops or drains my battery.

For uninterrupted recording, set Location to Always and disable Low Power Mode during long rides. Continuous GPS uses more battery; keeping your phone warm and the screen brightness moderate helps. If recording still stops, contact us with your device and iOS version.
